Gov option

Well, it looks like the Senate is going for a version with a government option, but each state must choose to use it or not.

This could make the Feds look good on both sides, but not really get anything done.

This could be used to purge the lower class from certain states, and force them to move to states where the government option is available.

We are being bamboozled by someone

First off, everyone has to have a label these days, so let me say I am a republican.

That said, I've never really noticed how bad the partisan crap that goes on is 'till this healthcare thing came along.

We have got to fight for term limits for congress, senate, AND the Justice department, but ofcoarse that is for another blog.

There has got to be a government based option, or the new reform will not be reform at all. I know people on welfare that have a perfectly good healthcare plan. Certainly they don't get face lifts and boob jobs and elective surgery, but they do get checkups, needed tests and surgery and they don't get tossed out of the hospital.

Forcing people to buy healthcare that can't afford it is not the answer. Small buisnesses should be required to provide healthcare, or at least kick in a predetermined percentage toward a government option.

What do you think?
